The People Want Peace

Our hearts are heavy as once again we sit on the brink of war, many have seen the signs coming and believe this to have been orchestrated as part of a bigger Agenda and another tool of de-population by those who are running the show from behind the scenes.  I am devastated too that there has been a chemical attack on the people of Syria but I am not entirely convinced of the official story we are hearing in the West is exactly how it happened. I also believe that the only way to Peace is Peace, not meeting violence with more violence.

Many have taken to the streets already, gathered together to raise their voices as one resounding NO to attacks on Syria. Many more look set to take to their feet this weekend with demonstrations planned in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London and I hope many more.  If there is a demonstration in your area please email the details to rashelle@enlighteningtimes.co.uk and I'll add the details to the post to help spread the word.

Glasgow -  meeting at the Donald Dewar statue at the top of Buchanan Street 12.30pm 31st August 2013

In the meantime if you feel the same way please contact your MP urging them to vote against the attack, you can do this via an online form here http://act.stopwar.org.uk/lobby

Peace in our hearts, leads to Peace in our World.

Our World has gone mad, yet somehow I’m sane,
Even as I bear witness to misery and pain.
My heart feels heavy with the antics of the mind.
Wondering what happened that stopped us being kind.
Religion, countries, separation, it’s all been manufactured,
Leaving cuts and bruises and a mind that’s badly fractured.
The illusion’s falling away and many, many see,
That everything’s not as simple as it appears to be.
The answers lie inside us, but somehow I don’t know why,
Many turn away as they hear their family cry.
The ocean waves are noisy as Mother Earth roars.
It is time to heal from all our pains and sores.
The darkness is dense now and the one saving grace,
Is that we can change this, by lighting our face.
When the night’s at the darkest and the light’s on within.
We can heal the World by sharing a grin.
The breath of life, is what we all share.
So maybe it’s time we all start to care.
The fate of our future lies in our hands.
So let us lift our voices, and not idly stand.
War is not the answer it never was,
A holy disaster with only one cause.
To generate money for the wealthy few,
Who want to invest in  killing instead of investing in you!
As Eve ate the apple, destiny unraveled,
And so it was deemed by divine gavel.
The tree of knowledge was the served food,
The wisdom of God’s who knew evil and good.
A new World was born, one of duality,,
And now its time to move back to the singularity.
Everything’s connected through the air we breathe,
So let’s get together and give the old ways a heave.
It’s all about vibration, so let us rejoice.
As we teach anew the little girls and boys.
Levels of consciousness is the clue you seek,
As once again we become powerful, no longer weak.
Force is a vibration that creates only despair,
So let’s choose love and show each other we care.
Revenge and retaliation are just a reaction,
Unconscious living, and create only distraction.
It’s time to create from a conscious space,
To stand with the light of love on our face.
We are the miracle, so what are we waiting for?
Let’s get together and say NO MORE WAR!!
Peace is the way, the truth and the light,
Not by flexing our muscles and acting with might.
Stop for a moment and breathe nice and deep.
And then finally humanity may awake from this sleep.

2012 and the Rollercoaster so far, by Rashelle

Hey everyone,

Delighted to be here, writing an article for the Enlightening Times. Thanks, Jade for the boot up the bot!

Oh what a ride it’s been this year, eh? A wild and bumpy one for many of us from what I observed. We started the year on the crest of Awakening and the tide was high. We all hit the ground, eager and ready to go…and we could see the structures of the world were being shaken to their core, as we had tore down the structures within ourselves. We knew we were living at a significant moment in time, that’s right, now! Ahh..

People were preparing for everything from Ascending from the Earth to Doomsday, to those in the “real” world going about their business as usual. You know the ones in the “real world” don’t you? Yes..the one’s that think we’re all nuts, you got it!! And then spring sprung beautifully…and everything slowed down for a little while before the roller-coaster of the summer months.

More and more news was being brought to light, politicians, pharma, the food industries, the suppression of rights and many of us could see it more clearly than ever. We had been reminded of our power, and opened up to love and the ways of the past were gone, though some strands still remained. We held tight, we resisted and still patterns kept their grip, just like in the financial world, the political world…the religious world…the natural world…all of it...on the brink of collapse, breaking down and putting up a fight, like we've all seenmany times, only to be re-born better, brighter, stronger than ever. Some would probably even call it evolution.

Having embraced our multi-dimensionality and our helpers from other realms we have already evolved beyond the limits of many of our predecessors and now our structures and institutions must follow suit. We all know the process of transformation isn’t always easy but it’s always so worth it. And, imagine..go on…do it with me now, for one minute…imagine how good it’s going to be when the world is at Peace and people are Thriving rather than Surviving, and I mean the many not only the few.

Have you noticed how many people get consumed with the rage and overwhelm when they discover all the many interesting ways devised to keep the people powerless? I’ve seen many who have found it challenging to move beyond their fear or their anger towards those they see as responsible for this and continue to assign blame which only succeeds in given their power away. So I was thinking, just in case, any of our readers are getting a bit “stuck” in the e-motion of it all I’d share how I do it, and what has worked for me.

We all know the magic of Responsibility by now, don’t we? Yes, I knew the readers here would all be living in the magical world of Responsibility. And as we know like everything else Responsibility is a multi-level phenomenon.

Anyway, when I first learned about Responsibility I learned we were all the CAUSE of our EFFECT and in so many ways this is truth and when we see it in action from any level, it is magnificent to behold. But let’s face it, that’s only a fraction of the story because we’re also co-creating with 7 billion other souls who are all connected to us and navigating their way through life at the same time and every one of them is a powerful creator just like you and me. For me, responsibility's greatest power lies in how we choose to respond. And let's face facts, we all created this mess together while unconsciously under the illusion of separation. Separation from each other and separation from the Universe.

So I take responsibility for my role in co-creating this mess while I went about my business mostly unconscious!! And for allowing it to continue because I didn’t think there was a choice! I bought into the idea, that I was powerless to do anything and That’s just the way it is and the other non-questioning tosh! I was apathetic and did feck all. I was selfish and self-involved revelling in the consumerism and rarely looking beyond the limit of my own life…and then I woke up!!

And I gave myself the gift of self-love and when I did I realised I had an abundant source of it to create magic in the physical world, and none of us are powerless to spread a little love and kindness in the world. We can all take action to DEMAND more Equality for All, because that is who we are, just forget about who they are. Let it go…and let the fire in your belly that the anger has left since it's departure become the PASSION that stirs you to ACTION!

Tune into your HEART and bring all you have learned in the spiritual realms here and do your thang!! Don’t just do it!! Do it…real good!! I don’t like to talk about God because of what man has done to the label, I believe, like LOVE, or consciousness, God is a term for the indefinable, for the energy that animates everything, for the one shared mind, the Universe and each and everything in it. So normally I’d talk in other terms but one of my greatest teachers Dr Wayne Dyer has something really profound to say about the EGO and how it’s an acronym for Edging God Out!

How simple, yet so profound! And, it’s so true although if you have anything negative anchored to the word God I would suggest using the word love instead. Only thing is, it may not seem quite so profound if you think ELO..Edging Love Out, you’d probably be expecting a tune rather than a deep truth lol!

Boy, have we seen the battle with EGO played out both internally and externally this year. Phew! And there’s a way to go..but hey now we actually know the little ME is part of the big ME and this ME is here to be the best ME or MAGNIFICENT EXPRESSION of the big ME possible. Got it? LOL! Ahh…a little confusion…always good to open the mind. What I mean is this..as I came to celebrate my oneness with the Universe and everything and everyone in it, and realised I was a Magnificent Expression of All that is. Wow!! Mind blowing when you stop and think about it really.

The term EGO has also been used my many to represent the PERSONALITY and like all labels there are many overlap in the definitions, representations and understandings of both these terms and somehow for many it became a battle to the death. It’s all a bit brutal for a being of love..is it not? For a fuller explanation of why it may be time to stop battling the EGO and make friends instead click here.

What if instead we simply ask the question Is this Edging God/Love Out?
Or
Egging God/Love On?

Embrace your shadow, you’re not here to be nothing but love, you are nothing but love already. You are here to be you and to be you with bells on! We are at a choice Point for humanity and the Earth now. You have been graced with the gift of AWARENESS, use it wisely. Please check out the Free choice Point movie featuring Gregg Braden, Dr David Hamilton, James Caan and many more and if you feel inspired join the movement. Or join another one that resonates with you, just take action in the way that fills you with Joy and soon you’ll forget all about the anger and be so busy co-creating with passion that one day you’ll turn around and realise that world you want to see, is here now.

Until we meet again friends I leave you with the words of Voltaire, later hi-jacked by Star Wars…”With great power, comes great responsibility.”

Radical Paganism

In essence, it is the nature of paganism to be radical.

While the mainstream world is driven by money and a hunger for power, paganism reverences nature. You can’t go round pillaging that which you reverence, and in daring to care for the planet, we automatically step away from that normal and oh-so-destructive world view.

Paganism is inherently non-hierarchical. Groups tend to have leaders, but as anyone can found a group, grove, coven, order… and as anyone can move from one group to another as they see fit, that hierarchy only exists
where it is supported and valued. In short, you have to do a decent job as a pagan to be in a position of power and responsibility. Those interested in serving only themselves do not tend to survive long. Plus, you don’t get a house as part of the ‘job’ or a steady income, or a seat on a national ruling body, or any of the other power-trappings other faiths confer. Those who are trying to earn a penny along the way soon find that it’s not the easiest way to make ends meet.

The pagan faiths encourage independent thinking, personal responsibility and enough motivation to get out there and learn. No one will come round and convert you, or tell you what to think, or otherwise make it easy for you. Compare this with the sheer numbers of other religious, political and media folk who are desperate to tell you what to think, wear, feel and say. Having an opinion you formed all by yourself is pretty damn radical.

When you look at the values that exist across paganism, most of them don’t sit well alongside corporate, repressive ideologies. We value beauty, not mass produced pap. We care about where our food comes from. We respect life, and we think there should be more to human life than being a cog in someone else’s money making machine. We dance to our own drums, our own music, and we aren’t afraid to sing our own songs.

Being a radical pagan is not just about doing the recycling, and the striking clothes we might wear. If we let them, our beliefs can permeate every part of our lives. We can be radicals in our compassion and ourwillingness to try and understand others. We can be radical in defending human rights, animal rights, plant rights, soil rights. I’m a great believer in saving the human habitat, which is everywhere. Not only can we care, but we can dare to do so publically. We can stand up and speak. We can blog, protest, letter write, make nuisance and draw attention. We can be in tune enough with our emotions to get angry about what is wrong in the world, and with the courage of our warrior ancestors, we can peacefully resist.

I am hugely inspired by the nuisance making of radicals through history. The best revolutions are bloodless, and often prove the most successful. Where we try and force progress through violence, often what we get instead is more violence. But paganism gives us heroic myths and powerful archetypes to draw on. It gives us personal insight into what it means to be on the fringes, vulnerable, easily made victim. Our people have been oppressed too, and in some countries, still are. It won’t take many right wing bigots to bring back the ‘good old days’ of religious oppression. We are only ever one change in the laws away from being criminalised. Again.

People who think, are dangerous. People who ask questions, are dangerous. People who do not accept the soothing noises of politicians or the toys of consumerism, are dangerous. Every time a pagan rejects the mainstream, they aren’t just making a statement for themselves, they are showing that it can be done. For every pagan who speaks, or acts out of their reverence for nature and respect for life, there are going to be a whole bunch of non-pagans who hear them. Every time we speak with passion of our values and ethics, someone will hear us, and that has the potential to change them. By living our truth we can gently radicalise those around us.

‘Radical’ is a word those in power like to blacken. Radicals are supposedly the bad guys, the threat. To be radicalised is to step outside society, with connotations of violence, and fanaticism. Being a radical means
so much more than this, and does not have to cause harm to anyone. An it harm none, do what you will is a fabulously radical notion.

Make nuisance. Make love, and poetry. Make people listen.
Make your truth, your life. If you do so, you will be a revolutionary, a radical, a threat to the establishment. We aren’t going to take over the world. That kind of power-hunger is just another trap for those who are fearful and lost. All we need is to live our own lives in peace and freedom, which for those who crave control, is about the most offensive thing any of us could do.
Be the change.
